Best Indian Restaurants in Dehradun

Are you confused about which restaurant to choose for having proper Indian Food within your budget??

I listed out some of the Best Indian Restaurants in Dehradun that serve the best food, are easily approachable and within everyone’s pocket.

1.Moti Mahal

One of the oldest restaurants in Dehradun Moti Mahal offers you a diversified menu. It’s approx 200 meters away from the Clock Tower towards Rajpur Road. This Restaurant has two sections, the bar area and the restaurant for the sobers, so one can plan to visit this restaurant for dinner.

I ordered lung fung soup, Kadai paneer, and mushroom tikka. I found that the paneer was not worthy of the price and moreover the quantity was very less. Paneer was normal with little spices. Soup and mushroom tikka was good.

According to my ratings:
❇️Lung fund Soup-9/10
❇️Kadai paneer-7/10❇️Naan-8/10

The average price for 2 people- Rs1000 approx.

2.Black Pearl

Black Pearl Restaurant close to Mussoorie diversion is another perfect food destination for food lovers. This place is best for Indian food. You can visit there with your family as well as your friends. It features light music as well as DJ according to your preference. Sometimes it also organizes star performances.

This place is one of the Best Indian Restaurants in Dehradun for small parties as they have a separate area for the dance floor. I went there for a birthday celebration with my friend and I remember they played the birthday song for my friend. She felt so special. The staff was very cooperative. Even after making a mess in the table and the floor they didn’t charge extra from us.

Every dish was so delicious especially the non-veg items be it Kadai chicken or Rara chicken or chicken lollipop. In all, I love visiting this place again and again and it is one of the Best Indian Restaurants in Dehradun.

The average price for 2 people-Rs1000 approx

It is one of the most economical Veg Restaurant at Rajpur road. Its famous for South Indian cuisine especially for their Veg Thali which I remember was somewhere around Rs 300 and it was on almost all the tables.

I visited this restaurant for the first time way back in 2008 and now when I recently visited it completely changed. As it has a large number of footfalls so they were serving very fast and within 1 hour they served at least 5 tables. The menu had both South Indian and North Indian food and they are equally good.

According to my ratings:
❇Veg Thali-9/10
❇Masala Dosa-9/10
❇Kadai Paneer-10/10(I loved this)

As the name suggests its a South Indian Restaurant but don’t get confused it offers North Indian food as well. When I visited this cafe around 1-2 pm it was a little busy. It was clearly written in the restaurant that it is self-service and we first have to buy the token for our order.

As I was having my food I saw staff members entering into another room. Then I looked and saw an ac room in which there were few people and the staff was servicing them and they had to pay the bill after the food is done. So this logic amazed me. If they had a shortage of staff then we could have understood this logic but they were many in the number who were just looking at the customers. It is one of the Best Indian Restaurants in Dehradun.

According to my ratings:
Food taste
❇️️Vada sambar=8/10
❇️️Chole bhature=8/10
Food value= 9/10

Cost for 2 people- Rs300 approx

5.Barbeque Nation

Another perfect destination for all the foodies. If you planning to visit this place on special occasions then go for it. You can avail of a discount if you are visiting Barbeque Nation for the first time and if you enter there around 12 pm they also give you an early bird discount. They ask you at the beginning that is it some special occasion and if so they try to create it more memorable by giving you cake, clicking photos of yours, and even sing birthday songs for you, which sometimes turns into an embarrassing situation.

Its basically a buffet system, you have to pay one-time entry fees. For Veg platter it was around Rs600 something and for Non-Veg around Rs 700 and you can have everything from starters to desserts. They offer you a one-time complimentary drink and except that everything can be reordered. If you wish to visit their kitchen you can just contact the Manager and go ahead.

According to my ratings:
❇Crispy corns-9/10
❇Grilled Chicken-9/10
